Hi
Mike,
I am a photographer working for a newspaper and magazine on
a U.S. Army post in Germany. I love my work, but we have been downsized
sooooo bad. We once were 2 writers, 1 editor and a photographer; now we
are 1 photographer and the editor doing everything. Your site keeps me
going and focused. You sound like a really great person and I want to
thank you for helping me keep my mind. Every other site I've gone into
wants money and I really can't afford any counseling. You help me put
things in perspective.
Thanks

I
am 43 years old, out of work and starting over. I am not in a fun
place right now, but it is a place of growth and change. I just
wanted to thank you for all the wonderful articles that I have received
in my email. Your inspirational and sometimes straight talk have
been a real blessing to me. I still have a long way to go to get
my life back on track, but your words will speed up the process. Thanks for caring enough to share with me.
All
the best, Gary Lee

Dear
Mike,
I
don't remember when or even why I subscribed to your newsletter. I
remember thinking maybe I will get a few good ideas. So I kept saving
the emails and reading about one out of ten. Recently I thought, I am
wasting disk space if I am not reading them, so I started to dump then.
Then came the strange occurrence. As I was scanning through
choosing what quotes to keep and what to throw away, the quotes began to
lift my spirits. I noticed a positive attitude; even in the midst of
what I had thought were personal disasters. I have preached to others
for years that life is a matter of choices. We choose to be happy,
choose to react negatively, choose overreact or even to not act; but
life is still a matter of choices. The problem has been separating
events from me as a person. Your emails have helped me. My life is still
confused at times, overwhelming and too busy; but, I know there is help.
... And the light at the end of the tunnel??? Well, it's not a
train!!! It's our friends.
Thanks
again. wl

Mike:
The
synchronicity of your Feb. 15 issue was just too strong for me not to at
least comment on it. You talked about Homer Hickam and seeing
sputnik race across the sky in October Sky. You reminded me that
small goals lead to larger ones, and sometimes, in very unexpected ways.
Thank you.
The
second synchronicity was your quote by Covey: Starting with the
end in mind. I had just spent a time of personal retreat with a friend
who offered her home to me for that purpose and one of the last things
she said to me was that statement by Covey. When she said it, I
had just expressed a great fear at my next step in personal evolution.
It was an inspiration to me from her mouth and again, today, from your
email.
I
live a very busy Internet life and rarely take time to read series, even
after I sign up for them. I am glad I'm reading this one.

Mike,
Thanks for the heads up. You put a lot of effort into
the articles you compose. I do appreciate them. Your selections
sometimes mirror what is troubling me or causing concern at that time,
or in the near time frame.
As a supervisor, teacher in the health care
arena I ask why students got into healthcare. Their answers are as much
for them as myself. Many service sector jobs are demanding. You deal
with people who are not at their best, whether because of pain or other
issues. If you expect the job to satisfy you with a paycheck and kudos,
find another way to make a living. If you are more altruistic, the
rewards can be numerous and are a paycheck for the heart and soul.
In thirty years I haven't lost my enthusiasm. In Latin
that means "in God" I love what I do. Like the man on the
beach, throwing starfish back in the sea. I make a difference to
"That one". Thanks
you for your soulful tweaks at our motives and motivation.

Great
stuff Mike! Keep up the good news, it’s a pleasure to read your
positive, empowering thoughts... for years I was associated with a local
paper entitled "THE GOOD NEWS". I miss the positive
energy that came back to me from all that we gave out to the
community... reading your thoughts have gotten me to take a good look at
what is missing in my life and what I can do to change that...Thanks
again...
Sincerely,
Robert Brincka

Dear
Mike,
I really appreciate you sharing about your quitting smoking. Quitting is one of
the most important goals on my husband’s list and mine right now, but
somehow we haven't been able to even get started on it. I love the
hourly goal thing! It gives me such hope! Thanks and God bless!

Mike,
I've only recently subscribed to your newsletter, "Your
Day To Win" I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the fast sessions.
They seem to be helping me to develop a more positive outlook on my job
and position with my company. I have also recently begun looking
at job postings as well to try to obtain a promotion.
I also print and clip your empowering quotes and questions and post them
on the wall around my cubicle. They serve as constant reminders to
me of what CAN be!
Thank you, & God Bless,

Hi
Mike.
I love your latest message. I have introduced your site to a few
friends. I think you, like Muhammad Ali, are the greatest. I also
have a saying relevant to your message of Jan 28 and that is "Run
to the wire". In other words, it's not over till it's over.
Never, never give up whilst there is still time to hit your targets.
Lots of love, Therese Thompson

HI
MIKE,
…I send your letters to all my sons who are thirty something adults, I
think what you are doing is wonderful; you have so much to offer. The
wonderful part is you freely give a bright light to people everyday to
follow. Your letter and four lines do wonders for me. Thank you many
times. I think your like Francis of Assisi your in touch with
nature and are making a difference. Take care. Gail Ash
Boy,
am I glad I found you. Thank God for internet. Today was my first issue
from you and I totally enjoyed it. I talk to myself a lot and even argue
at times. I'm naturally a positive attitude person, but once in a while,
my co-workers influence me and I have to argue with myself to combat
that feeling. It works!! I can tell I'm going to enjoy getting your
emails. God bless and keep up the good work.
Hugs & prayers, DeVon.
