Inside you is a masterpiece

Hello my friend:

When I was 18 years old, I took a job trying to sell expensive
vacuum cleaners.  I say try because I didn't do well.  In fact,
I didn't sell any. 

I just couldn't imagine anyone paying $1,400 for a vacuum
cleaner.  There were people all around me who were successful.
They'd tell stories of how much their customers loved their
machines, but I couldn't picture it.

I tried (again, that word) to sell investment grade coins.

And again, I couldn't picture myself succeeding.  I couldn't
imagine anyone saying yes to me.  So I failed miserably.

In fact, I was so bad that I took a phone sales job where I
called local residents and tried to sell beautiful $15 wreaths
where all the profits went to their local fire department.

The guy next to me sold 8-12 during a 4 hour shift.  I sold one,
maybe two on a good day.  It was pathetic.  He sat right next to
me, I could hear exactly what he said and how he said it, yet I
just imagine being successful at anything.

It's that mindset that forced me to live in a van.

It wasn't until I started writing down big lists of success
attitudes, empowering beliefs, successful actions and powerfully
positive emotional habit patterns found in the best of the best
that I started being able to stop getting fired from every job I
had and start succeeding like the people I dreamed about being
like.

Truth is, you, me and everyone you will ever meet need to have
mental triggers, written lists and affirmations that keep your
mind on what you want to happen in order to stay on track.

It's way too easy to get sidetracked with problems and
distractions of all kinds.

You wouldn't plant trees by digging huge three foot deep holes
in the hard ground with your hands...

You'd use a shovel and a pick.

You wouldn't take a job that's 20 miles from your home if all
you had was a bike.

You'd use a car, a train or a bus to get you there...

You wouldn't make the cloth, dye it and hand sew it to get the
clothes you wear to that job...

You'd buy the clothes from stores that had the clothes you
needed.

But every day millions of people that have no earthly idea how
to succeed in life, people who are miserable, people who have no
direction cry the blues, either privately or publicly, that life
isn't fair...

And so they settle for the scraps of life.

Stop settling.

I have taken the last 20 years of my life and researched
success in dozens of areas.  Now I have an entire department of
