One PGA commercial gave a million dollar education
Hello my friend:
Well, yesterday, the final leg of the Black Belt celebration,
over 70 friends and family converged upon our home for some find
food and drink.
A dammmmmn good excuse to let loose and have some serious
fun... especially since today was the final day of The PGA Golf
Championship... the final Major tournament of the year.
So uncharacteristically today, no exercising, no playing hard,
no visiTORS, no visiTING... I literally plopped today. An
entire day of total rest and rejuvenation... and watching golf.
But the ole thinkin' cap was still on...
During the day's round, there were three commercials that
jumped off the screen and into my brain with major life lessons
I will forever keep in mind...
Here's the first one.
On screen was Jack Nicklaus, putting the on first hole of the
day during the 1980 PGA Championship... a looooong put... 25
feet or better... and in it goes. Over the video is Jack saying
that was one helluva way to get his confidence jump started.
I would say... He won the tournament.
There is always no better way to begin something, especially a
very difficult undertaking with a great first action, a great
first shot or a good first decision.
But how?
No problemo...
When you need to get some momentum to start a task right, and
even more importantly, to start each of your days right, is to
have some "victories" for you to remember any time you want to
instantly feel confident... some great moments of yours where
you did something right, something great, where you said just
the right thing, did the right thing, made a difficult decision
during a high pressssssure situation... I don't know... only you
can choose those moments for yourself. But you need to be able
to have them at the ready, at a moment's notice.
You see, you can be confident any time you want and need it...
(and isn't that all the time?)
I mean, really, is there even a moment when you would NOT like
to be exploding with confidence that you can do what you need to
do and should do?
So just before you are to do something you've never done or
when you need to perform and the pressure is on, when you need
to choose right, just mentally go over your past "victories"...
5-10 times when you did or said something great. And voila',
you will instantly feel capable and will perform a LOT better
than you would have just moments before... before you went
through your 15-30 second mental "memory of success" session.
OK, grasshopper...
Go forth and prosper.
And know this...
You just got a tip that, if you use it... if you practice these
little 15-30 second visualizations many times daily in a bunch
of areas of your life, could be worth many milllleons of dollars
to you... it could help you snag your dream mate... it could
help you gain a reputation that will carry you to career
success... it could win you many championships... it could make
you as popular or famous as you want to be.
But only if you have 15-30 seconds to spare here and there
throughout your days. And you know you do.
Don't thank me... use it. Benefit. THEN thank me.
After studying success deeply like I have for the last 20
years, I've got a ton of these "little" techniques that make a
BIG difference.
Tomorrow, I'll give share with you what PGA commercial #2
sparked in me.
Love,
Mike Brescia
