Shrink your gut and butt the easy way
Hello my friend:
I just read a study today (that corroborates the findings
of dozens of other long and short-term studies) that
identified the habit of practically everyone who attempts
to lose a great deal of weight.
The two things that stood out were,
1- Those that had a specific target weight were many more
times likely to stick with it till the end compared to
those who just "wanted to lose some weight," and
2- The vast majority who reached the first plateau--
meaning that the initial big losses tapered off and
continued losses from then on would be slower and more
gradual--quit immediately after they went a few days
without any loss in weight.
"See, I knew this wasn't going to work."
"Who am I kidding."
"I can't possibly eat this way forever."
"I'm just meant to be fat. It's in my genes."
Hmmm.
You know, I think I should stop for a second and mention
what is not obvious to everyone.
Here it is... Keep in mind, this newsletter and our audio
and software programs and even - to a large degree - my
book are not typical "self-help" programs that tell you
WHAT to do, that don't actually FORCE you to do anything.
We've all been through those and, well, if it doesn't get
you to do anything different or feel different, then it is
a waste of time, money and in many cases, makes it worse,
because hope gets lost.
I went through dozens of books, tapes and seminars, too,
and I ended up living in a van with all my belongings
packed around me.
So I like to remind everyone of these things occasionally
because, again, you can know WHAT to do and still not DO it.
Even a Master's Degree, a PhD, an MD, CPA or Esq. after
your name doesn't guarantee you'll be a star in the working
world -- or in any world for that matter.
Because when YOU call the shots, when you are by yourself,
when no one else is there to push you, to give you a
schedule, to make sure you do what you are supposed to do,
to quiz you, to test you... it's all you, baby. You are
the one who decides what to do or not to do. No outside
influence.
This is why even very good students washout in the work
and social world. Too much freedom. No structure.
So keep in mind that the whole purpose to going through
self-help "how-to" materials of any kind (books, tapes/CDs,
videos) or counseling (seminars, therapy, retreats) is to
change emotions and to change behaviors in the long-term.
That is the only purpose.
So a book that teaches the proper physical exercises to
do, how and when to do them, written by the world's most
knowledgeable fitness expert would be a complete waste
unless you are 100% committed to use it...
Isn't that right?
That's why I regularly share with you stories people send
in about massive changes in emotions/feelings and
decisions/action as a result of reading, writing and
listening to Think Right Now audio programs and texts.
Because quite often, these stories are from very
intelligent people who knew what their problems were. They
knew they needed to change how they felt. They knew what
they should do. They knew the way they were feeling was
ridiculous...
But they STILL couldn't change how they felt, they still
couldn't change their behaviors, even if those behaviors
were destructive to themselves and others.
They wanted to, but they couldn't.
Because they, you, me... everyone of us is conditioned and
"trained" to think and behave like we do. People blame
their habits and the way they feel on their nationality,
their color, their neighborhood, their height, their
weight, on how others treat them, brain abnormalities,
genetics... on everything.
But few look at past passive conditioning.
That's why 'Person A' can lose 15 pounds in a month and
get so psyched about it, they continue on absolutely and
thoroughly convinced they'll reach their goal of losing the
rest and keep it off forever and ever.
At the same time, 'Person B' also loses 15 pounds in a
month, but on days 30 to 34, when the scale doesn't
budge... uh-oh. "This must mean I'm not going to succeed."
And by Day 35 it's all over.
'Person A' sees the challenge of losing the rest as fun,
educational and rewarding, while the same challenge feels
like a knife to the heart for 'Person B.' Too much to
handle. Too difficult. Can't imagine continuing. It's
easier to quit, and easier is the way I like it.
This is why mental training isn't just a nice idea, it's
vitally important.
When you want to be healthy and live your life at a
certain weight and physical fitness level, you must learn
what it is like to "think" like today's trim and fit people
think.
And it's a whole different mindset than it used to be...
because years ago, we didn't have the Internet to suck us
onto that chair and explode the width of our fannies. In
the early 1970's, there were only 3 or 4 TV channels and
they went off at 1:00 or 2:00am. There were no VHS tapes
or DVDs to hypnotize us for hours per day.
We didn't have all the fake, processed designer "foods"
filled with addictive chemicals and taste enhancers that
taste so damn good, it's hard for many people to turn away
from them.
But think about it, many people CAN say no.
The types of belief systems and attitudes found in
overweight people are not found in fit, trim attractive
people. And when you get to be in your 40s, 50s and
beyond, if you don't have the mindset that makes you eat
right and move yo bodday... barrrrrommmmmmmmm! You will be
the incredibly growing man or woman.
So it comes down to conditioned thought patterns.
If you have a bunch of weight to lose, but haven't been
able to stick with it, then the key is to free yourself of
the motivations that keep you eating when you should stop.
You must be free of that unstoppable desire for the foods
that, even in small amounts, pack on pounds.
Then, at the same time, you need to have a way adopt new
mental attitudes about healthier foods, exercising, being
active and about yourself and about what being smaller and
more energetic would mean to you.
Because if all you think about is how great something will
taste without considering to what it will do to you and how
it will make you feel, and you rarely even think about
moving your body, then... well, just look down... THAT is
what will continue to be your reality.
Two programs: 'I Love Exercising Now!'
and 'Eating For Excellent Health Now!'
were both designed the way you think about food and about
physical activity/exercising.
And this one is for instant willpower over food in the
moment.
It's called Instant Diet Power at
- http://www.instantinnerpower.com
These programs were designed to change your beliefs about
what is possible for you physically and install the core
belief and thought patterns of the most healthy people.
Do that and you will drop weight rapidly, have more energy
than you could dream of and enjoy a mobile, active life to
a ripe old age, instead of spending yours institutionalized.
If you want to toss some tonnage, then you need to get 'I
Love Exercising Now!' and 'Eating For Excellent Health
Now!'... now.
Love,
Mike Brescia
PS: When you're listening to these programs notice how the
simple act of nodding your head after a statement or saying
"Yes, that's me" will make you feel. It's noticeable.
