What makes depression tough to stop
Hi my friend,
Whether you use Think Right Now programs
- http://www.ThinkRightNow.com or not, if you're older
than about 10, you've learned the importance of repetition
in learning and in building skill at anything.
This weekend, I got the message again very clearly.
Sherry and I attended a wedding in Buffalo on Saturday,
and at the reception, at our table was a woman who moved
from China to America 55 years ago when she was only 5.
So her primary language for the last 55 years has been
English. She knows Chinese but English has been #1 now for
90% of her life.
Well, during the reception, we got talking about China and
at one point, she said that she still thinks in Chinese,
not English. That stopped me cold.
Now, I know that a person's primary language is stored in
a special area of the brain, but since she learned English
at such a young age, after all these years, you'd think
that she probably should have been conditioned to think in
English instead of Chinese.
But she did not.
That is just one more confirmation as to why it is so
difficult to change core beliefs, attitudes and emotional
patterns later in life.
Patterns like thinking about what is not right and getting
depressed about it is similar to a language. In fact it is
its own language.
All our belief systems have their own language.
The language of depression.
The language of disorganization.
The language of low self-esteem.
The language of being unpopular.
The language of low confidence and low motivation.
All of these negative patterns have their own belief
systems and attitudes linked to them.
If someone who speaks a second language primarily for 55
years, yet still thinks first in the original language, it
spells it out pretty clearly.
It proves that yes, we can change.
But no, it's not easy. It's not "normal."
And so no, just reading a self-help book or going to
therapy 1-3 hours per week, or watching a DVD or listening
to an audio lecture is not going to change your automatic,
instantaneous thoughts and action habits.
Hasn't yet, has it?
That is because they must be conditioned in like Think
Right Now Accelerated Success Conditioning Programs
condition success-oriented thoughts and beliefs in.
No ifs, ands or buts.
For example, you can't be depressed and simply take a pill
or talk to someone for an hour a week and miraculously
rewire the lifelong patterns in your brain.
That would be nice, wouldn't it?
As we see, even speaking a language for 55 years can't do
it 100%.
So I invite you to use our change technology.
It's the closest thing there is to a shortcut to being
like the people who are naturally good at what you want to
be good at.
It will train you to think in the I ams, I wants, I cans,
I loves, I knows, I sees, I dos that come with mastery of
any skill.
This is why TRN programs show such a high level of
effectiveness for so many.
To my knowledge, nothing else does this so well, or at all.
Here's what one woman experienced using the program
'Freedom From Depression Now!'
It doesn't start out how you think it would.

Hi Mike,
Just wanted to let you know how you have
helped me.
I bought the 'Freedom from Depression' CD
- http://thinkrightnow.com/a/depression.asp about a year
ago and listened to it only every now and then and
didn't notice any changes... In fact, I felt even more
depressed, so I stopped using it.
However, I was intrigued enough to go on and buy many
of your other CD's and they have worked brilliantly
- especially the 'Unstoppable Motivation'
- http://thinkrightnow.com/a/motivation.asp cd: I listened
to that one most nights for 4 months and I ended-up
writing a full-length novel - (something I've always
wanted to do but just kept putting off to 'one day').
Anyway, to cut a long story short, whilst I was
achieving a lot daily, I still had 'flashbacks' to a
gruesome incident I had when I was 10. This made me
feel sad, angry and depressed still and I thought I
must do something about it as I have two girls myself
and I didn't want to be grumpy all the time around
them.
So I listened to the 'Freedom From Depression'
- http://thinkrightnow.com/a/depression.asp cd
again and felt very bad emotions for about a week...
but I persisted, thinking things would get worse
before they get better, and they did. I have now
listened to it for a month, and it's the best thing I
could ever do because now I feel more balanced,
happier and more in control of the images in my head.
All I can say is these CD's work and I highly
recommend them to anyone. I will continue with the
depression cd as it makes me feel worthy, likeable and
'whole' and prevents my thoughts slipping back to
'self-destruct' mode. Thank you for all your research
and help, Mike. Thank you.

MB: You see, at first, her brain resisted the new
thoughts and just being exposed to them initially made her
feel worse. So she quit.
But she tried again, felt worse again...
...then felt better than ever.
Because our brains are wired to resist change when new
information contradicts what we believe to be true.
That is what makes mere information and lectures
ineffective as change methods. In short, they don't work.
Why not try what does.
And stick with it.
You'll feel and do better than ever.
Love,
Mike Brescia
